Visual Assault

It feels like most of mass communication media's content, whether conveyed by TV, PC, tablet, or mobile, is a visual assault of violent images, suffering, and young defiance. Nothing new about that, where are the solutions? This barrage of misery causes viewer fatigue. This viewer is fatigued. I have learned to mute the sound then hold my hand over the screen when something overwhelming, offensive, or even their ugly commercials are displayed.
