Tying Shoelaces

When father taught me to tie my shoelaces, he asked me if I wanted to learn how to tie them loose with just one knot like most people did, or did I want to learn his way of tying shoelaces, snug with two knots so that they do not come undone. Of course, I chose his way, maybe dorky but definitely secure.
