The Thrill of Trills

I just found out about trills, what a thrill! Trills are a succession of quavering, vibrating sounds made with the tongue, mouth and throat for a delightful warbling effect. Even my torso and shoulders vibrate when I trill. What fun! How satisfying.

I do not want an old lady voice, so I have been practicing my trills to keep my voice in youthful tune and because I enjoy trilling. Trills are a little like making raspberries only produced much deeper within the mouth. Bing's technical definition of trilling is to "pronounce (a consonant) by rapid vibration of the tongue against the hard or soft palate or the uvula."
