Diet Slim

For the first eight months of the year 2026, I have been on a diet that is popularly called either:  OMED (One Meal Eaten Daily—which is self-explanatory and I usually eat mine at 4:00 PM); or Intermittent Fasting, which means one fasts for most of the day, eating only intermittently.  And again I eat one leisurely meal from 4:00 PM to about 5 PM (although I do start each day with a cup or two of instant coffee in steamed milk with cane sugar.)  Whatever you call this diet it is surprisingly easy for me to maintain it as I have aged so that I have little appetite and few taste buds responding to what I eat.  I accept this.

I already feel slimmer on this diet, but I have not weighted myself because I do not want to spoil any illusions or delusions that I may have formed by misinterpreting what I see in my mirror or any preconceived notions that I may have that this much dieting must surely have that much result.  Because I am eating so little I do not buy large quantities of food, or even from all of the food groups because no matter how much I like them I cannot eat all of them on this diet.  So foods like luscious peaches and silky avocados are not currently in my diet.  Anyway, it seems to me that what is offered in the stores is not like the healthy, tasty foods of years past.

If I were significantly slimmer, then life would most likely be much easier for me.
