I stopped reading books during the COVID-19 pandemic, about seven years ago, and it has been an awful loss, in too many ways to count. I stopped because I was unable to read, literally. Recently I started reading again, slowly reading novels and history, thoughtfully. I am joyous. I bought a few books and I made a bookmark in celebration.
