Forget-Me-Nots

Michio or her daughter took this photograph of my best friend Kathy McKinney and me at the Illinois Starved Rock State Park waterfall. Now Michio is back in Hawaii, I can no longer hike, and Kathy is in assisted living. I found our photo wrapped in a clipping of myosotis from a garden catalog. I enjoyed Kathy's charm and humor, her human frailties touched my heart. I forget her not.
