My New Year's resolutions for 2021 are printed on an index card and placed on the coffee table for occasional review throughout the year. Here I go, soaring, roaring with enthusiasm into the new year.

When I talk to customer service agents on the phone they are working from home and often they are a little sad. So I have a habit of trying to cheer them up, which is not easy considering most of my phone calls during these plaguy times (pun intended)* seem to be to complain about increased utility rates or erroneous billings. But I end the call saying, "Stay safe, and stay HAPPY!". I coax them to say that instead of the new, sad fad of saying with doom, "Stay safe :-("
