Nor'easter Warns Of Winter

Nor'easters typically occur between October and May. My first nor'easter blew through at 50 MPH last night, but I was fast asleep and I missed it. Soon winter will be here, people are talking about it in the shops and offices. Some asked if I am ready for the snow and ice. I am experienced with snow and ice over the seventy-two years of my life, but for the first time in many years I do not have a garage in which to park my car. Huh, I wonder how that will work out for me? I live up on a very, very steep hill on top of that (pun alert.) My plan is to hunker down with the small cases of canned seafood, meats, oils, juices, lentils, rice and beans that I have stockpiled. My move here to Maine is essentially complete and I am ready to winter over at home, with multiple sources of heat: oil furnace in the bowels of this building, and in my apartment I have electric space heaters, and a pile of wool blankets.
