Large, Luscious Dates

Maybe I should have put the dates in the refrigerator, but "...dates last quite a long time, compared to other fruits, such as bananas. At room temperature, they can last between a month up to 3 months." Source: https://www.doesitgobad.com/do-dates-go-bad/

Sooo, when blue-white fuzzy mold overgrew the packaged dates that I had stored for two months in my cool, dry pantry, I contacted the vendor.

My Original Letter

I am writing to complain that the 1# package of Jumbo Medjool Dates that I purchased from you is moldy. Big, beautiful, luscious dates, all moldy. I would like a refund or an exchange. Thank you.

The instructions to "refrigerate" the dates is in miniscule 5-point font, located under ingredients. I did not see the instructions, who would look for them under ingredients? The instructions are tiny and hidden. And there is no expiration date on the dates' package. I stored these dates for the past two months in my cool, dry pantry, unopened in their sealed package.

Resolution

The replacement dates that the vendor sent to me must have been hand-selected, they were so large and luscious that I recorded their beauty with this image.
