Happy Birthdays!

I am seventy-six years old today, Hoorah! As my grandmother used to say, "It's better than the alternative." I am sharing my birthday with my newly adopted stray cat Achilles, today will be his birthday too. I figure that he is six years old due to his maturity and pose. Happy Birthday to us!

I got no presents as usual (it is my fate) but I gave two presents to Achilles: a framed picture of a cat that he often gazes at, and a mirror for fun; I keep both presents on the floor where he can see them. Happy Birthday Achilles.

BTW, Achilles actually asked me to make the cat picture, which was on a large bag of kitty litter, available to him when I had inadvertently set the bag down with the cat picture facing the wall. Achilles glanced at me then gently pawed the bag once as if to pull it from the wall. I turned the bag around, Achilles saw his sweet cat friend, and he was satisfied. So I framed it to keep it for him. Happy Birthday Achilles.
