Gluttony

I realize that I am twenty to fifty pounds overweight, solidly obese.  Therefore my New Year's resolution for 2026 is to try one last time to lose weight.  If I can finally, after decades of off and on dieting and now at age seventy-seven, drop my weight to optimal it would surely help me with my mobility problems and I might even have less pain if only because there would be less of me to be painful.

Due to my life-long difficulties with the sin of gluttony. which has caused me to confuse a modest woman's serving sizes with those of some humongous beast, my new diet relies in part upon pre-packaged, single-serving, healthy foods.  With my serving size preset for me I hope to overcome gluttony, that muddle of careless overindulgence, lack of self-control, and confused priorities.  For example, it seemed to me that random, inappropriate men left me alone at a certain mark of about twenty pounds overweight, so I ate to capacity and kept happily to myself.

I have been particularly partial to and need help with controlling cookie consumption:  Scottish Shortbread, Danish Butter, and Ginger Bread.  They are yummy to my tummy but add flubby to my hips.  :-)
