Eclipse 2024

April 8, 2024 was 60° F and very sunny for the eclipse here in Maine, in fact the sun was too bright to even look in its direction.  I had saved a couple of errands to run during the solar eclipse so I was in and out of stores during the two hours that the eclipse was on-going.  Two weeks prior I had bought $2.00 eclipse glasses, getting mine just before they sold out.

I had a great time talking to people about the eclipse we were watching.  I was pleased to share my glasses with a family from India.  Everyone seemed awed.  God created a magnificent view for us when God positioned the moon to cover the sun in total solar eclipse.  Thank you God.  Amen.

The next total solar eclipse within the contiguous United States will be on August 23, 2044, and since I am not likely to be here or will be here only in a significantly reduced capacity, I gave my eclipse glasses to the young engineer who lives upstairs.

(Venus is the bright point below and right of sun. I do not understand why the total eclipse does not show.)
