FYI to the world, Easter is NOT a "festival." Easter is a religious service for the worship of God, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

When I was young no one claimed to know the significance of the Easter Egg, but it seems to me that at Easter in spring after a long winter, eggs might have been what was available to enjoy in celebration. Eggs are kind of miraculous anyway, such a healthy, dependable food from a simple chicken. And eggs are easy to decorate in all sorts of delightful ways.

But insipid AI is relentless with its eggy malarkey, "Easter eggs symbolize new life, rebirth, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, blending ancient fertility traditions with Christian beliefs...Eggs have long been associated with fertility and new beginnings in many ancient cultures. Pagan societies celebrated the arrival of spring with festivals that emphasized nature’s renewal, where eggs were given as gifts or offerings to symbolize the potential for new life. Humm, exactly how does an oval shape symbolize either rebirth or the cycles of nature more than any other shape? It does not. And a chick is born not reborn so that is not an apt analogy for "rebirth." How dumb.
