An Ornamental Gourd

This morning went backwards, sideways, and upside down, so I was going to give up and just stay home today. Maybe read a book, that seemed safe and comfortable.

But I held my course and I went to the senior center for a free lunch as I had planned: I had a nice kielbasa sausage and fried peppers, rice, and a lovely lemon cupcake, with coffee and cream. I said no thank you to the overcooked, boiled vegetables.

Even though I arrived later than usual there were still free fruits and veggies in boxes stacked along the far wall for give away. I brought home a bag of sweet, red grapes, a bag of small, Maine-grown potatoes in perfect condition, and a pretty green and white gourd.

This turned out to be a pleasant day after all.
