Years after my late parents' passing I am still sorting through their estate papers. Today I came across the last of my father's patents, this one for "Radiation Resistant Polyurethanes". I already discarded all of his other patent papers, for want of knowing what might be done with them, but my father had framed this particular patent application, with its embossed red seal and pristine blue ribbon, and it had always hung in a place of pride in his study. Now its image is ensconced in my website on the world wide internet. He would have liked that.
