Aggressive Handsome People

In my observation it is highly aggressive, handsome people who go into newscasting*. Some of them are also stupid. They blather on about the obvious, endlessly repeating themselves, and talking over their guests, making the whole broadcast an incomprehensible waste of my time. If only I did not have to listen to them in order to get the daily news. Say, that is a good idea, I am going to take a news break and enjoy my own thoughts for a while instead of being force-fed opinions. I will simply READ my news when necessary and let the talking heads flap their gums on air alone for a while. Maybe things will have improved then I turn them on again.

* What does the media intend when they use aggressive, handsome, sometimes stupid newscasters to cast the news at us? Consider the various meanings of the word “cast”, which include:

throw (something) forcefully in a specified direction.

throw (something) so as to cause it to spread over an area.

throw the hooked and baited end of (a fishing line) out into the water.

cause (light or shadow) to appear on a surface.

cause (uncertainty or disparagement) to be associated with something.

shed (skin or horns) in the process of growth.

arrange and present in a specified form or style.

cause (a magic spell) to take effect.

calculate and record details of (a horoscope).

hunting (of a dog) search in different directions for a lost scent.
