Take Good Care Of Yourself ♩ ♪ ♫ ♬ ♮ ♯

I woke up this morning with the lyrics “Take Good Care Of Yourself You Belong To Me” in my ear, and the theme of a science fiction short story in my mind. Very tempting, but I have a difficult life task to do today, so I found a musical snippet for the moment.

Helen Kane, “Button Up Your Overcoat” 1929

When singer Helen Kane sang “Button Up Your Overcoat” in 1929, it peaked at No. 3 on US music charts. The music was written by Ray Henderson, the lyrics by B. G. DeSylva and Lew Brown, with recording by Victor Talking Machine Co., R.C.A. Victor Co. (Montréal), 1899–1972 (its trademark was the fox terrier Nipper).
