Tourmaline

I have always wanted to dig up gem stones. Long ago I even bought a stone collecting tool kit with assorted rock chisels and a special hammer; but for fear of the predators (human and otherwise) lurking about outdoors I never went.

There is a tourist attraction nearby here in Maine where you can buy a bucket of dirt that may or may not contain pretty tourmaline gem stones in it. Will I go in the fall, when the weather cools? Oh, I hope so.
