No Longer Verboten To Strike A Little Old Man

I am sick of the base, violent behavior that is going on all around me, and it seems to be getting worse. It frightens me. Almost everyday on the news I see video clips of people assaulted in public, these are old people, men, women, and even children, all being clocked without reason, knocked unconscious, and often savagely beaten up. Is this the 21st civilization devolving or an acceleration to animal violence by COVID brain?

Today actor Will Smith (6' 2" tall and aged 53) struck comedian Chris Rock who is significantly shorter and older (5'10" and aged 57) with a roundhouse open-fist punch to the face, while Chris Rock was presenting the award for Best Documentary Feature at the 2022 Academy Awards. Rock had just joked about Will Smith's wife Jada, who by the way was sitting front row in the audience fully aware that the Academy Awards include jokes and ribbings about anyone in the film industry, anyway, Chris Rock said “Jada, I love ya...(and made some mild joke about how her head, which is closely cropped due to alopecia, might get her the lead role in a remake of GI Jane—which frankly would be a sweet deal for Jada as she is not much of an actress. When Will Smith struck him Chris Rock had his arms folded behind his back and he was not wearing his glasses, he was performing at work, telling jokes as he had been hired to tell, he had no clue that he would be struck, and struck hard by Will Smith.
