I stepped across my threshold this morning to see if the world is really covered with glare ice as the media claims, and with that very first step my left foot slipped out and up from under me like a ballerina doing a high kicking grande battement, for a moment I felt quite graceful again. Then I pivoted to minimize the impending impact and that smacked my right hip down hard on the icy patio. Crawled back into the house for some warm, dry, comfort clothing. I keep forgetting how wobbly I am, and now both my perennially aching left hip and my newly hurt right hip are unpleasantly symmetrical sirens of pain. Obviously I will not be able to run the errands that I had in mind for today.

I missed most of the year 2020 due to several bouts of serious illness, which may or may not have been caused by COVID-19, the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). In the future I may or may not backfill my blog with posts that I created but then did not have the initiative to post.
