Rivers In The Sahara Desert

"The next Northern Hemisphere summer insolation maximum — when the Green Sahara could reappear over the desert — is projected to happen again about 10,000 years from now in A.D. 12000 or A.D. 13000." — random internet source

Is this why climate change hysterics are so vehement? Is it that they do not want to suffer glaciations of the northern hemisphere where they live, just so that Africa can become green again? If so, they are selfish and silly.

"Work by Berger and Loutre suggests that the current warm climate may last another 50,000 years. The amount of heat trapping (greenhouse) gases being emitted into the Earth's oceans and its atmosphere may delay the next glacial period by an additional 50,000 years." - Wikipedia

This, of course, suggests that IF we could interfere and if we could stop the natural cycle of global warming/cooling, that then we would hasten the onset of a global snowball Earth. Not to worry, we mortals cannot change the planet's climate fluctuations.

Furthermore, just one terrible eruption from a super-volcano blasts more green-house gasses into Earth's atmosphere than the sum of all of man's emissions throughout history. (Look it up.) The cause of climate fluctuation is the Milankovitch cycles which "describe the collective effects of changes in the Earth's movements on its climate over thousands of years. The term was coined and named after Serbian geophysicist and astronomer Milutin Milanković. In the 1920s, he hypothesized that variations in eccentricity, axial tilt, and..."
