Rule of One In, One Out

To keep my home and life clear of unnecessary clutter, I tend toward the "Rule of One In, One Out". When something comes in my house, usually something must go out. Yesterday I good willed two gray undershirts which had never really worked very well under my gray-checkered vest, and an hour later I had the pleasant luck to find and buy two new gray undershirts that were much more suitable.

Very occasionally I recycle something that I later regret not having, but for hundreds and hundreds of items, I am only glad that they are gone, and that I do not have to keep them in place, dusted and tidied. Space is more important to me than stuff.
