Dolphins Pacing Alongside

When I cruised the Caribbean Sea on Carnival Cruise Line, going to many of the islands southeast of the Gulf of Mexico and the North American mainland, east of Central America, and north of South America, I was still under the influence of academia and the mainstream media which had taught me that my interests and needs come last before all the various peoples of the world; and consequently I took almost no photographs so as not to be intrusive, even though I was photographer and I had had significant university training in photography. To put it in 21st century parlance: how self-effacing is that, right?

In fact I have exactly two photographs from that cruise, one is a dreamlike photograph of some small islands I took from the cruise boat deck as we cruised by. I posted it to this blog on 05-12-18 entitled Caribbean Cruise.

The other is this photograph of dolphins pacing alongside one of our tour boats. I used to display it in my cubicle at work but I finally put it away because female colleagues could not make out what was in the water and male colleagues were certain it was dolphins farting. Who says there is no difference between men and woman?
