Up At The Crack Of Dawn Painting

Brag Alert!

I used to paint with Bob Ross using acrylic paints on large sheets of cardboard (about a yard square). It was not easy to blend fast-drying acrylics to create the effects of atmosphere and distance but I worked fast and often succeeded. An attorney friend bought one from me that she found in my to-be-discarded pile of practice paintings. She was right, even without a frame it looked ethereal hanging on her family room wall. Less affluent friends were delighted to receive my paintings as gifts, to hang them in their homes, to admire my soft landscapes under vast skies. This was very gratifying.

Most of my paintings at that time were daytime landscapes but this digital work Nightscape is similar in its dreamlike quality.
