Generosity

A fast track to happiness is to do something difficult to make someone else's life better, with generosity. You may or may not benefit from it, but you will feel comfort from their happiness. In this instance the act of providing happiness for another human being is a warm comfort to the provider, especially one who has been chilled by cold-heartedness.
