What I love in Winter
In winter days seem short and harsh, they're filled with ice and snow and dark.
It's then I like my cocoa, before a fire bright so.
I like spicy homemade gingerbread, and gentle words all around said.
So what's new this year you say? "Nothing!" And I'm glad it's that way.
I like to be snug and warm inside, and watch the weather roil outside.
Your hand in mine, a kiss in time, and tenderness between us kept.
When day is done, we've had our fun, and all is put to rest, I love you best in Winter.
